Scope of Practice:

Mr. Evans's practice primarily focuses on banking, creditor's rights, commercial litigation and municipal law. In addition to representing numerous financial institutions, Mr. Evans has lectured for banking organizations in more than 24 states in the area of Loan Documentation, Bankruptcy and Lender Liability.

Experience:

Mr. Evans has served as an Editorial Consultant for Commercial Problem Loans (B.A.I.-2nd Ed. – 1983) and as a contributing author for both Lending to Agricultural Enterprises (B.A.I. – 1981) and Advising Illinois Financial Institutions (IICLE – 1993), as well as serving as Editorial Consultant and contributing author for the Commercial Loan Officers Handbook (B.A.I. – 1984). He is also the co-author, with Robert H. Behrens, of the book entitled Fundamentals of Commercial Loan Documentation which was published by the Bank Administration Institute in 1989. At the present time, Mr. Evans serves as an Instructor for the Illinois Bankers Association and most recently conducted seminars for the Independent Bankers Association of Texas, Bank Administration Institute, Crowe Chizek and FDIC. He regularly conducts in-house training programs for banks and bank holding companies throughout the country. His current focus is on assisting financial institutions in their implementation of Revised Article 9. Recently, he has conducted seminars on Revised Article 9 in more than 23 locations, including Chicago, Kansas City, Tulsa, Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Atlanta and in both Orlando and Palm Beach, Florida.
